Der JUICE Poker Club hat seinen Lauf fortgesetzt. Zwei dritte, ein neunter und ein 11. platz sorgen für einen soliden 2. Platz in der eSport Open League 3. Diesmal waren wieder ein paar kleinere Suckouts dabei, wie meinen Flush gegen AA zu rivern oder mit 3rd pair 7en runterzucallen und seinen Bluffshove zu callen... schrumme vom Team RoyalFamily hatte zweimal in Folge AA, hat ihm aber beim dritten push nix geholfen, hihi...
So wie's steht müssen wir uns um cash und Platzierung keine Sorgen machen, das Team RoyalFamily scheint aus sehr soliden Spielern zu bestehen, wir bleiben aber weiter dran!
Alsobald wird es auch Zeit für unser nächstes Live event, und die nächsten 250er Freerolls auf Titan. Dort habe ich immerhin schon 2x einen 2. Platz. Genauso wie in meinem letzten beiden LeibnizGames-Platzierungen. Wer erkennt ein Muster...?

Samstag gehts mit Christoph zum Heads-Up training. Ich hab immernoch Hemmungen, jeden Small Blind mit Luft zu raisen, obwohl ich weiss daß Aggression der Schlüssel zum Erfolg ist. Zudem bin ich Freitag wieder gesetzt im dritten Spieltag der eSport-Liga. Wish me luck!

e-Sports league
Der erste Spieltag der Quali-Liga der e-sports leages auf pokerroom ist durch.
Unser Team, der Juice Poker Club, hat grandiose 15 Punkte geholt und führt die Liga an mit einem zweiten (das war ich!), einem dritten und einem zwölften Platz.
Dumme Sache: Wegen der Zeitumstellung (wo auch immer, jedenfalls nicht hier in .de) hat das Turnier eine Stunde früher angefangen. Somit waren an meinem ersten Tisch 6 von 9 auf "sit out"... ziemlich oll.
Das Niveau war so-lala, ich war mehrmals Chipleader, aber hatte etwas Pech mit meinen All-Ins:
Four-handed raise ich den Smallblind mit ATs und bekomme ein all-in vom Big Blind. Ideale Position, ausser wenn er Damen hat...
Im Heads-Up hingegen laufe ich mit 88 in AA und TT in QQ, welches denn auch die finale Hand ist. Ärgerlich, vor allem wenn man das Spiel bis dahin ganz gut unter Kontrolle hatte.
Zumindest hat mich dieser Turnierverlauf eingermassen dafür entschädigt daß es bei den letzten (nebenher exzellent organisierten) LiveTourneys des JPC nicht so lief wie ich mir das idealerweise vorstelle.
Also dann - Mittwoch geht der nächste Spieltag, mal sehen ob der JPC was reissen kann!

review: betfair poker
Allgemeine Info
Betfair.com ist eine Britische Sportwettenseite für höchste professionelle Ansprüche. Wie die meisten dieser Seiten hat Betfair den Pokerboom mitgenommen und war ursprünglich unter dem Dach des Cryptologic-Konglomerats tätig. Im jahr 2006 verliess man diese Gruppe und bastelte einen eigenen Pokerclient, ohne die in der Industrie üblichen Klickibunti-Frontends mit Avataren, animierten Glückwünschen und Werbe-Popups.
Betfair bietet Limit HoldEm, NoLimit Holdem; PL Omaha (High) und Blackjack. Weitere Spiele (Stud, Hi/Lo Varianten) sind in Entwicklung.
Neben Cashgames werden verschiedenste Turniervarianten (MTTs, SNGs, Turbo, Superturbo, Deepstack, Shorthanded) in allen Limits (vom Freeroll über 2.5$ bis 10K$) angeboten.
Limits und Rake
Von NL10 bis NL10K ist hier alles zu haben. Die Rake ist nach Potgröße je Limit gestaffelt (und gecapped bei 1$ für Limits kleiner als NL200), liegt bei 5% und kann bequem hier nachgelesen werden.
Spielerzahl
"Klein aber fein". Man wird, je anch Tagsezeit, kaum mehr als 3000 Spieler online finden. Dennoch wächst betfair schnell, und mit der momentanen aggresiven Kampagne zur Mitgliedergewinnung ist es nur eine Frage der Zeit, bis auch betfair birst mit neuen Spielern. Zudem ist die Anzahl derer, die aus dem Sportwettenbereich "rüberschnppern" recht hoch, daher sind in den unteren Limits sehr softe Tische zu erwarten. Betfair.com akzeptiert bislang keine US-Kunden, auch hier hat man also seine Ruhe. Zudem sind die 5K und 10K-Turniere mit leichtem bis mittlerem Overlay gesegnet, was für massives +EV sorgt.
Spielbarkeit
Extrem gut. Schon in der normalen Ansicht ist das Fenster von Betfair kleiner als der Industriestandard. Dadurch daß aber kein Platz für Avatare, Stühle, große Buttons etc verschwended wird, da die Stats, der Chat und die Tournierinfo im rechten Bildfünftel Platz finden, bietet sich Multitabling geradezu an. Die Software benötigt DirectX, das Fenster wird also nicht, wie sonst üblich, aus Pixelgrafiken zusammengebaut. Dies erhöht die Klarheit des Bildes, und macht die Tische extrem übersichtlich. Stacks, Pot, Bets und Karten sind mit einem Blick zu identifizieren und zuzuordnen. Die eigenen Statistiken sowie die momentane Position im Turnier sind vom Tisch aus einzusehen.

9-seated turbo, stacks are ~800-ish.
I hold Ad Kh and raise to 300.

One caller, one caller all-in, I call all-in, third guy calls all-in.

Soo... my plans to Q for the WSOPE didnt work out, and I'm on kind of a tilt right now since I people are pulling the most amazing stunts on me online. I'll give you three small examples:
Heads-Up match. We're about eben in chips, I catch KK and raise, reraise, all-in. He's got 99... and... pulls a flush.
9-ppl Super Turbo. Five people left, I am chipleader with about 5K. The smallstack goes all-in, I kall with KQs, he shows Q6o and flops... a flush.
The same Turbo, four people left, I am third in chips, catch A9s in middle position. Small stack in UTG goes all-in, UTG+1 does the mandatory call, I go all-in as well and the big stack calls, showing QT. Flop comes X9X - X - T.
Another Heads-Up match, Second hand I catch AA. It's raised to 500 preflop and called. The flop comes 29T. I raise, get a re-raise and we're both all-in. It comes down to 7 on the turn and the Jack on the river. He shows me his QK, and I just Alt-F4 and go for some coffee.

so close!
Slow day at the of-- at home, so I join a $5 MTT woth 42 ppl in it. Two more, and it would have paid top9, but alas! it's top5 payout only this way.
I get going nicely, flop two pair a lot from a checked big blind and manage to be top5 in chips for the first break, and second for the second break. I manage to eliminate three people in two hands at the final table and am cruising easy at 40K chips with 400/800(+50) blinds... then... my comp breaks down. After a good 15 minutes I get it back to work, blinded down to 4th position, blinds up to 800/1600(+100). I make two feeble attempts to play KQ and KT from the button and small blind which bump into pocket pairs (obv obv obv), and settle for $25 in 4th place. Nice going, piece of shit ALDI computer.
Anyways, this is how I look now:
My Betfair bankroll: €71.32 (+14,72)
My STAX Rating: 47,04 (+ ~1,5)

Thinking about buying pokertracker. Sadly, it only does ring games on BetFair so far, and HUD doesn't feature BetFair as well since they left Cryptologic. There's a freeware HUD software that's supposed to work with it, but I still need to make a decision about Pokertracker first.
