So in a streak of really really lucky events, I qualified for Wednesday's finale.
Which I cannot attend since we will be away with the kids.
Isn't it ironic? Don't you think?
Anyhow, here's how it went.
The $31 qualifier only had six poeople in it, and I was quickly caught in three aggressive players (one right, two left of me), so I laid back. I entered some pots, but was raised out of most, which had me ranking 6th for most of the time.
One player eliminated, i had an AKs draw and flopped AQ, pulled another player all-in and things were looking better. Next hand is AKo, but my preflop raise was folded all around. I was chipleader (4,500 with the others at 2,500 - 1,700) now.
One hour later, it's down to three players. I get dealt K8s on the small blind and only need to call to see the following flop: 7T6s! One player goes all-in, I call, and I flush (pun intended) away his pocket Queens. Bye-bye!
So it's me and Miss Aggro now.
I get dealt A9h, flop AQ2, go all in, she calls. Turn and river reveal K and 4, and my A9h hold up against an A5d for a 10-to-1 chiplead.
Next and last hand:
My Q9h against her AA, she's pre-flop all-in, and I flop the monster: K33QQ. Oh how many times this has happened to me...
And now revenge is MINE! MINE, YOU HEAR! I expect around 70 ppl in Wednesday's final. If and only IF I can make it to play. Wish me luck!
