This is starting to sound like I am whining a lot, and trust me, I am.
I started this blog after having some reasonable success at poker, coming *this* close to Q'ing for London and only missing a couple of finales by an inch.
These last two days have been horrendous. But read:

We're late in the $8 satellite, four players remaining, first two get seats.
The blinds are beginning to hurt hat 400/800 with 75 ante, so I call 800 with 9Tc, and meet 8c 2c Td, heads up. An okay flush/straight draw with top pair! Turn comes 6h, I'm a made man (almost). Any club, any 7, and probably any T or 9 will take this home, ensuring comfy second place in chips, depending on how I can milk him.
I bet pot, which puts me all-in. The guy calls. Reveals: Ad Jc.

I'm starting to feel like switching to Tequila after all.

I am eliminated holding AJ, flopping A7J and some other guy running the straight 7 to Jack with 9T in hand. Where the 8 hit? On the river. My outs: 4 for a full house. His: 4 for a straight. Fair enough, I guess.

I play a total of eight satellites this evening, come close to a seat four times, twice only by the width of an opponent's out on the river.

This is like the Western Bar fight where you kinda duck behind the counter hoping not to get hit by a stray bullet. If I could just get a pocket pair, please?
